BEVERLY, MA – DECEMBER 8, 2009 – Beverly Cooperative Bank is hosting an exhibit of paintings by artist Jason David Bothwell.

Originally from Oklahoma and now living in New England, Mr. Bothwell attended the Ringling School of Art and Design and graduated from Montserrat College of Art.

Speaking about the inspiration behind his artworks, Mr. Bothwell explains, “When I open a newspaper, I read stories on war, famine, and strife. When I look further down or flip the page I see commercial ads for watches, clothes, or even pancakes. I feel desensitized to the global magnitude of the issues as given in which the tone of our society shows it. I am expressing this concern.”

The exhibit will run from December 7 to January 18. The public is invited to drop by the exhibit at the bank’s office at 254 Cabot Street, Beverly, during regular banking hours: Monday – Wednesday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm; Thursday & Friday, 8:30 am – 8:00 pm; and Saturday, 8:30 am – 1:00 pm.

In addition to the main office at 254 Cabot Street, Beverly Cooperative Bank also has offices at North Beverly Plaza and 48 Enon Street in Beverly, as well as 73 Lafayette Street in Salem. The bank is a member of FDIC and member of SIF, and the SUM ATM network, as well as an Equal Housing lender.
