Beverly Cooperative Bank Names
Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

BEVERLY, MA – January 31, 2011 – Robert W. Mitchell, Jr. has joined Beverly Cooperative Bank as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer. Additionally, he has been elected BSA Officer by Beverly Cooperative Bank’s Board of Directors.

With diverse experience on both the operations and retail sides of the banking business, Mr. Mitchell was most recently Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Eagle Bank in Everett, where he also served as BSA Officer. Previous positions held there include SVP Retail Banking, Controller and IT Officer. Prior to joining Eagle Bank in 1996, Mr. Mitchell was Controller and MIS officer at Bank of Braintree. He began his career at Eastern Bank, serving in a variety of capacities including accounting manager, deposit operations and loan servicing.

Mr. Mitchell earned an MBA Degree in Finance from Bentley College and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration/Accounting from Salem State. Active in the Massachusetts Bankers Association, Mr. Mitchell is a member of its New England Debit Card Task Force and former chairman of the Retail Banking Committee. Recently elected a Director of Beverly Chamber of Commerce, he served as Everett Chamber of Commerce president in 2009-2010 and is a former director. Mr. Mitchell is active in little league, youth soccer and the recreation department in Wilmington, where he resides with his family.
